A community Cafe Monday's 10 - 2 pm with talks, socials and a thriving Community Garden with regular workparties.

Community Garden

​

The Olive branch and Incredible Edible have worked together to transform the derelict land around the Hall. We are working together for a world where we all share responsibilty for the future wellbeing of our planet and ourselves. We provide access to good local food for all, through working together and learning and sharing skills.

We use the fresh vegetables in our homemade soup and enjoy gardening together and creating a green environment.

Workshops

​

We have had many workshops talks and events at the Olive Branch. We have learnt felt making, how to mend and adjust clothes, made Christmas Wreaths, and how to knit. We have tried Falun Gong and hope to have Yoga at the cafe. Megan Selby of Living Voice, leads healing chanting. 

We have had energy surgeries to help with saving money and helping the environment. 

We hold Jumble Sales and seed swaps.

All of these are free.

We are also involved with the Artists Way and provide free books and support to complete the course.

Sharing

At the Olive Branch we have a list for sharing skills and resources. If you need help or need to borrow some tools we can help. We hope that we can build up a store of gardening tools on the site, and we have a bookshelf for sharing books too. 

We sit down together and share a cuppa or a bowl of soup which is only 50p if you can spare it. When we have gardening evenings we share food and sometimes have a BBQ. 

But mostly we share time together, to have a chat with someone- to be able to get out of the house for a bit and meet people.
